The European Network of Research Ethics and Research Integrity - ENERI project aimed to improve the exchange between experts in the fields of research ethics and research integrity. To this end the ENERI e-Community was established in SINAPSE as a permanent platform that enables better communication and cooperation. Practical guidance resources, recommendations and tools for researchers, research ethics committees and research integrity offices were also developed.

Professor Judit Sandor Receives Prestigious ERC Synergy Grant

A multidisciplinary and transnational research team, in which Professor Judit Sandor is one of the Principle Investigators, received the prestigious European Research Council (ERC) Synergy Grant this week for a six-year project that seeks to reconstruct the development of a common European identity after the Second World War.

CEU was home to a unique workshop on Monday the 16th of September, with the title ‘Populism, Technology and Law’. The event brought together CEU faculty, international scholars and representatives of NGOs and was organized by the Center for Ethics and Law in Biomedicine in collaboration with the Comparative Populism project. Participants sought to explore technological challenges to the rule of law and to analyze the contribution of new digital technologies like artificial intelligence and machine learning to the increasing manifestation of populism around the world.
