Professor Judit Sándor has published a new book titled Bioetika és emberi jogok az orvosi biotechnológiában (Bioethics and Human Rights in Medical Biotechnology), published by L’Harmattan in 2025.
The book examines the relationship between human rights and bioethics in the context of new medical biotechnologies. It addresses the ethical and legal questions raised by developments such as reproductive medicine, genetic testing, and stem cell therapy, including the extent to which genetic characteristics of embryos may be selected in human reproduction. The book argues that human rights and bioethics share closely related principles and demonstrates, through legal cases and bioethical examples, how these fields can inform one another. It highlights the importance of making bioethical debates more accessible and applicable to the wider public.
