With the title
“INDIVIDUAL AUTONOMY, FUNDAMENTAL RIGHTS, AND INSTITUTIONAL SAFEGUARDS”
the Central and Eastern European Chapter of the International Society of Public Law (ICON-S) organized its 2025 annual conference at the ELTE Law School (ELTE Eötvös Loránd University, Faculty of Law), Budapest, Hungary. The conference was convened by Bernadette Somody, Zoltán Pozsár-Szentmiklósy, Gábor Kajtár, Krisztina Rozsnyai, Barbara Havelková and Silvia Şuteu and will take place on 29–30 May, 2025. Judit Sándor participated at the keynote panel.
The conference keynote panel addressed the main theme of the conference from different perspectives. Judit Sándor (Central European University, Austria) addressed the issue of autonomous end-of-life decisions in a European context. Katalin Sulyok (ELTE Eötvös Loránd University, Hungary) presented the dilemmas related to national and international judicial cases involving ‘future generations’. Paloma Krõõt Tupay (University of Tartu, Estonia) analyzed the impact of artificial intelligence on the exercise and protection of fundamental rights.
