Dr. György Kovács is a legal specialist in European Union law and Intellectual Property law and a senior lecturer at the Pázmány Péter Catholic University and the National University of Public Service. His research focuses on comparative intellectual property law, biotech patents, particularly enforcement of intellectual property rights before domestic courts, liability of doctors, the enforcement of European Union law within the Member States, the relationship of European Union law and national constitutional law. He was a Fulbright Scholar in 2005/06 at Boston University School of Law and Harvard European Law Research Center. As an attorney he advised large multinational clients in high value investment projects and various trademark, design, patent and domain infringement litigation cases. He is a board member of the European Network of American Alumni Associations and the Hungarian Fulbright Association. He also serves as supervisory board member of the Hungarian-American Fulbright Foundation.
