Barna Szamosi defended his PhD in Comparative Gender Studies at Central European University in 2019. Since 2015, he works at Eszterházy Károly Catholic University at the Institute of English, American and German Studies. His research interest is at the intersection of medical history and biopolitics. At the Center for Ethics and Law in Biomedicine, he works as a postdoctoral researcher, and currently studies the role that eugenics played in the development of reproductive medicine in the state-socialist period.
